About Vicki
Vicki is an award-winning magazine writer, essayist, and author of the memoir The Second Nine Months: One Woman Tells the Real Truth About Becoming a Mom. Finally.
Her work has appeared in many publications including Parents, Women’s Health, The Daily Beast, Philadelphia, Salon, More, Playboy, and Ladies Home Journal. She’s a contributing editor at Reader’s Digest, was both Articles Editor and a Writer at Large at Philadelphia Magazine, has consulted with numerous magazines on editorial content and strategies, and has appeared on Oprah, The Today Show, and at the podium at lots of conferences.
Back in the day, she was an editor at The Penn Stater Magazine and at Pitt Magazine, and did PR for Dartmouth College. She has a BA and MFA in nonfiction writing, both from Penn State. In real life, she’s a big fan of yoga, yard sales, meaty Cabernets, her Honda minivan, her three daughters, and her husband who is known around their metro Atlanta neighborhood as “Poor Thad.”
